Seven League have worked with The FA on multiple projects since early 2016, supplying both people and know-how. The FA have truly grasped that digital offers them the opportunity to connect with the grassroots game as never before.
To this end we’ve worked with them to transform the central platform that The FA provides to all County FA’s. The existing platform was aged and had not kept pace with the mobile age. Our role started with requirements gathering and then running the process of selecting a Sitecore specialist developer to overhaul the platform.
A project of this magnitude required careful management and digital expertise, so The FA called upon Seven League to programme manage the project. This involved managing multiple internal stakeholders, 50 County FA’s and the chosen strategic developer. Making sure all were aligned and fully informed throughout all stages of the programme.
In the latter stages we’ve also been managing the migration and updating of content, supporting the FA internal content and digital teams. The roll-out of the first sites is imminent and with the remainder of the County FA websites being rolled out through 2017 and early 2018.
Most recently, we’ve worked with The FA’s official Matchday app which helps organise grassroots football. Seven League has developed a marketing campaign to promote the app. Specific videos, graphics and animations have been created to appeal to players, parents and grassroots managers, these promotional materials will run on Facebook, YouTube, TheFA.com as well as hundreds of county, league and football club digital channels.
We are proud to launch #FAMatchDay, where you can:

We’re in discussion with the FA how we can expand our role and continue to support The FA in the coming years.
