We’re delighted to have been providing digital consultancy for the world’s biggest football club since February 2016.
During this time we’ve developed our relationship with many departments within the club, actively supporting the digital commercial function, content production, development and operations.
Off the field their digital transformation has been moving rapidly with the creation of a centralised digital team and with Seven League being heavily involved with the creation of this team. We designed the organisation, wrote job descriptions and even ran the the process of recruiting a new Director of Digital. Once in place we’ve worked with him to overhaul the digital strategy of the club, including internationalisation of the club in markets such as the US and China. And taking a more fan centric approach to content.
Most recently we’ve run the process to help them find a new digital development partner (something that we’ve done for many Leagues, Federations and Clubs). We managed the whole process end to end, with an appointment imminent and then a new suite of digital products for the 18/19 season.
We’re now working with senior management at the club to map out strategic projects for the 17/18 season and maintaining FC Barcelona’s position as the world’s biggest football club.
