We’re delighted to have worked with Celtic FC, off the back of their unprecedented Double Treble in ’17/’18 (winning the Scottish League and Scottish Cup three years in succession). Not only that but the club also made history by winning the Scottish League seven times in a row: #Magnificen7
We supported the club by first delivering a comprehensive social media audit which provided the club with a solid baseline from which to work; an assessment of current performance, benchmarked against industry best practice, so that the new direction can be given clear goals.
Driven by the discussions from an initial workshop session with key stakeholders from various departments within the club, this audit ensured that the social strategy and creative direction we went on to develop with the Celtic FC team were based on solid, data-led decision making.

To support the audit, we also provided Celtic FC with a practical social valuation report which assessed the current monetisation tactics used by the club across its social media channels. This included interrogation of major sponsorship agreements, advising on the language used, the inventory sold and the general approach to monetising the club’s digital assets.
The Celtic FC team developed a clear understanding of current sponsorship trends and how the landscape is changing towards more data-led, audience engagement focused activation’s. The analytics insights identified in the audit, combined with the existing inventory being offered to sponsors, allowed us to establish the value of their social media inventory and then plot the potential value of that inventory in future years.
Using examples from elsewhere in sport, we also advised the club on how it should approach content and commercial content.
